Dungeons & Dragons shirts

Here's a few Dungeons & Dragons shirts I did featuring my favourite D&D monsters: Owlbear (or is it Bearowl?), Beholder & Gelatinous Cube. They were for Mighty Fine but never really went anywhere.

Zombunnies Line Stickers

There's a set of Zombunny stickers you can use to spice up your conversations on Line now.
I'm not sure what the UK usage is but I know Line is big in Japan and the rest of Asia.
Treat yourself to the sticker set - it's only 69p. That's bargain!

Free books

Both my books are free this weekend as I shamelessly cash in on the Halloween market - except seeing as they're free I'm not making any cash which luckily enough is how I operate normally.
and here for 'Kitten Parasites - A Poetical Catalogue of Feline Infestation'. Kitten Parasites only works on a colour Kindle or on the Kindle App.
Hope you like them and I'd appreciate a great review. Lie if you have to (you won't have to).

Squire McIntyre's Travelling Mythical Petting Zoo is free for Hallowe'en

I've made my book free on the Kindle store for a couple of days. Hopefully I'll garner a few reviews or maybe get seen my a mover & shaker in the publishing world. If you want to grab the Squire McIntyre while it's free click here. I'd like to know what you think of it.

Those aren't pillows!

I've a typically kitten based cushion available in the Ohh Deer online shop.
It would be ace if you'd buy one which you can with ease by clicking here.

Jason Patterson

I did this illustration for comedian Jason Patterson's Edinburgh Fringe show earlier this year.
If you like comedy check out his work.

Space Port

Here's a test for a game I was involved in which sadly, never went anywhere.
Just thought you'd like to see something different to the usual kittens and zombies and such.

Zombunnies on Pop Jam

Busy week last week: I've been putting together a Zombunnies channel for Mind Candy's new venture. Pop Jam. It's kind of like Instagram for kids but with a doodle feature. It reminds me of the work we were doing at FaceParty ten (gulp) year ago and, by the looks of it ten years too early.
I've done work for Mind Candy and Moshi Monsters on and off for years. I was right there at the start, some of the original trophies you could win in game were designed by me and I really like the company - even though they insisted I do an art test when I was applying for freelance work there last year - with my credentials! Pride got the best and I refused.
But we're all friends again now and it's a pleasure to be involved with them once more. Especially nice is to be working with old time friend Ed Harrison of What What who is involved in the running of Pop Jam and who I last saw in real life in a rainy, boozy evening in Shinjuku a couple of years back. That's how cool we are!
So if you know some super cool kids, point them to the Pop Jam app and get them following the Zombunnies. I have big plans for them!

Cube Clip

I haven't posted any MagNets images up for a while. Here's an in-game poster for a robotic poodle parlour, animated for your viewing pleasure. It looks even better when you're actually playing.

Toy designs

Have I shown you these characters yet? This blog is getting too unwieldy, I don't know what I've posted. I designed these for FaceParty. I love the plushes. The box for the inflatable versions were only about 15 cm to give you an idea of the size. Here's a more detailed post about the blow ups.

At the Total Monkery Studio

I'm just back from a week in Plymouth at the Total Monkery studio. The Magnets game is looking amazing and now we're just pulling out all the stops for the final push. Here are a few of my concept sketches and it's always nice to see them 3Ded up and running around in the game. Next stop Insomnia - see you there!

Rainbows

What do you make of this weather? Flash floods and hail in Brighton yesterday and now it's super sunny again. After the rain comes the rainbow so why not take a moment of quiet reflection to relax with these rainbow themed images. They're from the Grumpy Game I did with Koyoki last year.

Pink demon

Here's some kind of Japanese Yōkai character.
The outline is brush pen - I love using them.

Illustration collection 1

I'm putting together a selection of images for a catalogue to show off my illustration oeuvre. Here's the first page. I'm hoping it shows me as the adaptable pen for hire that I am.

Graphic Facilitation

It turns out that graphic facilitation is just a fancy expression for sitting in on meetings and doodling away. How is this not unlike what you do in a normal meeting? Good question. Someone actually made it a job and you can get paid for doing it. Better still, it turns out this is something I can do quite well. Who wants me?

RamJam characters

One on my favourite companies to colab with is RamJam. I love those chaps. Here's some character designs I did for them which are variations on their company mascots. Have a look at their site to see them in real life and see what else RamJam get up to. I can especially recommend their Escape from '85 game.

House of Illustration - Illustrator's fair.

Yesterday I had a stall at the House of Illustration's Illustrators Fair.
It's a brilliant you new place and the fair was part of their housewarming season as they establish themselves in newly gentrified Kings Cross. It was a lot of fun and great to meet fellow illustrators out and about in the bright sun shine. I ran a chaotic, kid's workshop - even though some of the children I pressed into attending were confused and looking for the balloon guy I think they enjoyed it once I had them sat down, felt tip in hand!
If you find yourself around Kings Cross have a look at what the House of Illustration does. I need to go back as I hardly left my stall and there's loads to see. They're hosting some interesting illustration exhibitions so have a peek at their site and go and go and visit them.

MagNets map

Here's an idea for the transition screen in MagNets. Early days yet but it gives an idea of the game's direction. Check out Total Monkery to see how the game is going.

70s Owls

I doodled some owls that took a rather 1970s turn so I coloured them up in a period palette.

This really is the last of it

I know a couple of posts back I said I wouldn't mention that pitch again.
Well, I lied.
But only because I found these amazing stills of the charater.
 Expertly crafted by Seed Animation.
And it seemed a shame not to share.
So there you go.
And here it is in motion:

Stamp

I made a stamp of a three eyed flying pug.
Now that gets my stamp of approval.
