Inflatable Zombie Dwarf

Here's another fun thing I did for Faceparty. It literally does what it says on the cardboard, coffin lid - its a tiny inflatable zombie. They gave away 1000 or so for a promotion.

Good Queen Bess Burns the Cats

Look at this dream commission - I had to illustrate an article for this month's Paranormal Magazine about cats being, well paranormal. Did you know that Queen Elizabeth I burnt an effigy of the Pope full of cats on her coronation? Those were the days! There are loads more cat facts in the magazine - which really is worth a look at. So open your third eye and seek it out.

Pokemon Show

I'll round off the Pokemon theme and promise to never talk about it again with a few roughs I started for the promotional material for the show. Ohhhh it could have been so great. Maybe I should try to butter up Sega instead.

Porygon 2 Tribute

Here's another one from the show. Now of course you have Porygon Z - that's progress for you. Right - now a shower and then I'll polish off that toffee chocolate eclair I bought from the reduced rack at Tesco's. It needs to be eaten before midnight. That's why it was so cheap.

It's no secret that I have a Pokemon addiction and Jigglypuff is one of the best of those guys. I did this for a show I was organising with Nintendo to promote the launch of Pokemon Pearl & Diamond on the DS. Sadly, the show got canned by Nintendo Japan though, which was a shame as it would have been amazing. There were so many ace artists all chomping at the bit to go too. Oh well. I may put up another Poke-painting tomorrow if you're lucky.

Chimpy Chop Chomper

Here's a blue chimp eating a chop. I think I need more patience to work on these paintings. I feel I have to rush them and do them in one sitting. Curse my tiny patience gland.

Ferrety, Zombini Thing

I think I'll post a few examples of my paintings over the next few days. This one was done on a bit of wood with acrylic paints. Painting always frustrates me as I have absolutely no technique and I want to be ace at it and I'm not - but I like how this one turned out. It probably worked because it was small.

Amazing Cake

Here's something a little different to the kitten fare you're used to seeing on here. I designed a cake for a Face Party event. Everything here is edible - sugar meats and iced insects. It was about four feet high too and was absolutely delicious.

Blue Sushi Cat

Here's another feline fan of Japanese cuisine. Ahhh, lovely Ramen.

Golden Sushi Cat

Look - It's one of them Get-rich-quick-cats and look, he's surrounded by a halo of sushi treats.
Now how wonderful would that look on your wall?

Hip Hop Granny

I do a regular illustration in the Norwich listing magazine, Mad Dog. It's all about Hip Hop, which I know next to nothing about, but thankfully just involves drawing a granny in different situations. Here's last month's offering.

Happy Easter

Well that's it for me for a couple of days. I'm of up to the Lake District for a spot of camping. I hope the weather won't be too bad, but it's always cosy with the pitter patter of rain on the canvas. Or so I like to romantically imagine. Happy Easter everyone.

Everyone Loves a Bit of Bully

I've been doing some roughs for a German book I'm illustrating. I'm keen on this character, the Spanish bull, but I'm not sure I'll be allowed to keep the daggers in him - it's supposed to be for children. We'll see how it pans out.
Talking of things for kids, I'm off to the BBC tomorrow to show them my madcap ideas. I hope they like what I'm all about.

Dead Bunny

It's a bunny, but yes, I know, it's still dead. When I was tiny I had a pet rabbit. It was the worst creature in the world, so vicious, I could never touch it. My dad had to take it out with protective gloves to protect from scratches and bites whenever it was removed from it's hutch. It was such an aggressive beast. We were so glad when we came down one morning to find it dead - Its reign of terror was finally over.

Another Cat Ghost

Well, I promise, this will be it regarding my unhealthy obsession with feline cruelty and death for the time being. I'm sticking all that stuff on my kitten parasites blog - one day I'll get a real publisher for it. But just on the million to one chance a fantastic publisher reads this, I did shift 1000 of them myself, more or less in a couple of years. This was just me in my own time too, with no distribution network. I tell you, it'll be a license to print money.

Nine Lives

If you buried a dead cat, would it have nine little ghosts? Of course it would. They'd probably just be tiny, floaty, spectral heads too. I'd love to see a feline phantom like that.

Scary Tail Kittens

Let's continue with the two headed kittens theme. My friend, the amazing sculptress Caitlin carved them up from the woefully inadequate turn-around sheet I gave her. Thankfully, she knows how my tiny mind works and came up with the goods, and here they are. I'd like to do more with - but I'm not sure what. Surely there's a market for double headed cat toys.

Mail Me Art

There's a cool show opening up in London, featuring all the usual suspects, I believe I'm one of them, on Friday. It's called 'Mail Me Art' and it's Darren Di Lieto's collection of envelopes sent to him by all your favourite artists. But the twist is, they've all doodled all over them as they try to bamboozle Royal Mail. You can gaze in awe at the envelopes that found their mark at the Red Gate Gallery in London from tomorrow. There's an accompanying book in the works too.

Have a look at the Mail Me Art Site here.

Control... and lack of

I like drawing cats - although I don't much care for them in real life, like any sane person and I like drawing things with two heads. Other than that I can't justify this at all.
